Meet Joseph & Andrew. Joseph loves to look at books and listen to music. He also responds well to rough-housing sort of play. Andrew is into everything and can never sit still. He's always on the GO.

I love playing with my toddlers. Watching their faces light up, with eyes wide as they discover something new, I’m instantly reminded of what a wondrous world this is. I feel I'm very lucky to be a toddler teacher. I get to PLAY! Thinking back to this assignment of choosing an atypical and typical child, well I'll be honest I'm not sure whom to pick. I currently have 2 children with EI services and one child who I think will be receiving serives soon. Gio will be new to my class starting next week and is currently receiving speech therapy. Joseph is autistic and is receiving various therapies. He’s also just begun working with picture cards and he’s doing very well. Now Andrew is 2 years old and just started in my class two weeks ago. I’m seeing very few words or sounds. He gets very upset when I can’t understand him. He doesn’t seem to be able to finish anything and has very poor impulse control. I need to talk with Mom about moving forward with EI services; she wanted to wait till September. I feel that waiting…well its simply wasting valuable time.
